War Costs

Mothers

Fathers

Sisters

Brothers

Uncles

Aunts

Significant others

Grandma

Grandpa

Nieces

Nephews

Husbands

Wives

Everyone dies

Cousins

Close Friends

Best friends

Girlfriends

Boyfriends

Old friends

New friends

And strangers alike

All roll the dice

War can take a little

War can take a lot

War can take everything

Leave you to rot

War is never ending

War is never rare

War is always changing

To get those who don’t care

War can be ignored

War can be forgot

War can unfold quickly

And go from cold to hot

War solves nothing

But is used for everything

So we used to say:

War! What is it good for?

Absolutely nothing!

And then we did

Absolutely nothing

For the next 55 years
